I actually like that bot. People don't realize how bad the links are that they send. This helps to educate and also prevent tracking socially.
Educating would entail explaining the problem and extending the solution. Not trolling people for a tax. It rubbed me real wrong.
How is it taxing people? There's no coercion. Most people don't know that links contain trackers. Pointing that out is important. You aren't being coerced to pay anything. You can also easily mute it so you never see it again. 🤷♂️

All your notes are public. Yes, it's crawling nostr notes. How is it a scam? It does what it says and says what it does. The government rarely does that.

I just have an extreme dislike for imprecise language. Nothing in this is a tax. You may find it taxing, but... That's another story.
That's what you say but if you're concerned about people being educated to the problem, just educate them. Simply inform them to copy the url without tracking. We disagree, and that's not a big deal. I'm done with this.
I don't have the time or ability to trawl all of nostr to do that like a bot.
All of the apps that I use ignore tracking, so it doesn't affect me too much, but, I'm very concerned about the amount and types of surveillance being used for nefarious purposes.
