Alternatives arise from honor, from not letting yourself be trampled, this makes you look for options, look for alternatives and learn, but it is not usually something common.
If it were common the armies of the different nations would not be enormous.

Exactly. If those in power had no workers, they would have no power. The slaves are building the fences to keep themselves in, guarding the gates, installing the gas chambers and killing themselves. Those in power do nothing but threaten the slaves with punishment from the other slaves.
