Our star has been producing X class (the strongest, most severe like a hurricane level 5) solar flares on a regular basis for the past week or so in the lead up to hurricane Milton's rapid intensification. Our star is not typically THIS active. This has a direct effect on Earth's weather, volcanic activity, etc.
