Once the public option is gone or so underfunded to be an absolute shitshow, private healthcare becomes dominant and can raise the general prices, which has all sort of effects: from poor people bring unable to afford basic care, to families going into debt, to people dying from preventable causes due to preventive care and regular checkups being a cost
Interesting take. Definitely such opinion is so foreign for me considering we have an averagely low tax here (comparable to usa) but much more comprehensive public healthcare, which work alongside heavily regulated private healthcare.
However, our public healthcare have been heavily underfunded the past few years and there were idea to reform it (which gets a lot of opposition, obviously).
