What HNWI would want to pay $5 million to ENTER the US which has both citizen-based taxation (only them, Eritrea, Myanmar and Best Korea have this) and one of the worst exit taxes in the world?They won’t.
They want to do what Roger Ver did and get out of that system and go get a cheap passport in a tax haven in the Caribbean or South America through citizenship by investment programs. There’s a whole industry around this and none of them are funneling people towards the US.
This program doesn’t make sense for anyone other than the guys sitting in that room who think they can go shake some trees and Trillions of dollars are going to fall out of them to solve the problems they’ve walked in to.
