The trick is to count it as 3 or something. Maybe even 4. If anyone has a problem give em the ol' GFY.

Reading tracker apps don't support that kind of thinking though. It's unfortunate. You'll read atlas shrugged and 17 other books and it'll say you read 18 books. But you know in your heart it's 20.
