Stop telling me that girls in the West aren't coding because of sexism.
It just bores them and they don't need the money.

You think software engineering bores them? Try discussing mechanical or electrical engineering with them.
I'll wait.
How is engineering boring?
(I remember a few years back we took a long trip on a plane--I brough along a technical manual on Snort to read--my wife thought I was nuts)
Men and women are (indeed) different - not sure if its genetic, or environmental (IMHO probably a combination) but we are not 100% interchangeable.
But we are 100% complimentary (certainly better as a team - there are things that my wife can do where I simply shake my head and say "how do you know how to do that?" - and vice versa). Better together.
Most women find engineering boring. (Talking about things.)
Most men find fashion boring. (Talking about people.)
There's nothing more "thingy" than engineering. Except maybe physics, but probably not.
Ah Physics...REALLY enjoyed that--enough that I seriously thought about changing majors...
And then I asked myself "what can I earn with a Physics degree"?
I actually have a working theory that nobody actually believes this. It's just a way to bully girls who enjoy technical or abstract stuff, by making it seem like their being nerdy has no upside.
You're not special. You're just unpopular and weird. The cooler chicks simply haven't gotten around to it, yet, because of sexism.
But tomorrow... tomorrow...
or perhaps the day after tomorrow...
Maybe next week...
For over three decades, I've been waiting for them to explain to me why sexism never seems to hold me back and when tomorrow will finally arrive because I have some open tickets they can pull.
My wife can code!
Of course, she's not Western; and not remotely normal :-p
Well, there you go. 😂
