The most normal thing is for people to fight over preferences on open protocols.

Create clear and fair standard of conduct and procedures for people to contribute to the NIPs and a lot of drama will be reduced.

But, don't kid yourselves as it will always be contentious and uncomfortable.

Take a hint form bitcoin, it's not perfect but it's still working.

Procedures are always gamed. Rough consensus and running code

Long story, but the Bitcoin BIP system was essentially put in to stop Gavin and various VCs. And that worked.

Nostr NIPs have enabled an explosion of use cases. That's good. But it will also generate some conflicts.

We'll figure it out. All part of growing...

Agreed, there is no other way. Respectful conflict = healthy
