Probably a Rpi 4 8gb and external (min 1tb) usb ssd. Should also have x86 support. 2nd hand Dell Optiplex or ThinkCentre m910q should give way better HW for similar price of the rpi's. But please inform them of the danger of running a relay on an Umbrel without running a VPN in their router (or firewall), will doxx their home ip to all relays!

Thank you, especially the information about the VPN is really important to me 🙏🏼 Maybe I’ll just use som good paid relays for now.

Np, this is really critical information, and its a huge red flag that Umbrel dont warn their users about it. Im waiting for a fully foss relay implementation with a fancy backend panel to deploy for myself, friends and family. Something will hopefully be available within a few weeks
