how can you verify that your NIP-05 is set up correctly in Damus? It seems like the app already assumes the username part so that in the NIP-05 field you only need to input @nostrplebs.com

you still need to put username@nostrplebs.com for it to be on spec.

I don't use Damus and I've never seen the app, I'm just telling you that the spec for NIP-05 is username@domain.com. They may display it slightly differently. But you can verify if it's correct by looking at your profile on nostr.guru.

Can confirm, hard to see it represented in Damus other than having it imputed. But when I just checked on my public key on nostr.guru it did show that I am registered via nostrplebs (trey@nostrplebs.com)

I can verify that yes, in damus it will appear as user@user@nostrplebs.com. Might take a bit for the client to update, but if youre on astral you should see it

I don’t think you want it to appear like this. I think you should just put in nostrplebs.com into the NIP-05 field and Damus will take care of the rest. Is this correct @jb55 ?
