Worst red dot ever. Total dogshit. Made in America but an engineering disaster.

really?? I haven’t used the but id heard they were good
Holosun 509 and don't look back.
What issue are you having? Are you sure it isn't user error? MRO's typically are a good option for the money.
It's an optical trainwreck. There are serious focus, magnification, and parallax issues. Both eyes open shooting is unworkable, which negates the whole point of the red dot. And the battery life is relatively terrible.
The only bright spots are the build quality and weight. The rest is unforgivable.
The gun rag/website reviews are by inexperienced people and fanboys. And I'm a Trijicon fanboy. I've owned multiple RMR, SRO, accupoints, credo's, and ACOGs. I just shoot a lot.
Do you have an eye astigmatism? I know that can cause issues especially with EOTechs. Maybe that’s causing your issues with the MRO?
No, and I've never had issues with any other optic like this.
Manufacture defect? Does a buddy have a MRO you can compare yours to?
I have looked through a couple others and I think they are about the same. Very hard to tell without mounting and shooting them at various distances.
I may try to swap it out for a MRO HD which is supposed to address a lot of these issues.
With your red dots do you do a 36 yard zero? https://youtu.be/jttB1kUXfJE
I run a 300 yard zero on 1x optics and have won a lot of multigun matches with it. It's effectively a 6 o'clock hold from 50-250 yards, but also effective for holding over at 400-500 yards without having to estimate large drops. Muzzle velocity is a huge factor.
35-40 yard is better than a 50/200 generally, imo, but it all comes down to what you are doing with it.
