Using Ditto, I encounter no such issues, and even if I do, that's a result of potentially doing something too fast.

Perhaps use Primal or Damus those versions are more stable and come with pre-installed relays; Amethyst comes with pre-installed Tor (rolled out 2 weeks ago) perhaps that's what's creating the conflict on your device. Delete Tor you don't need it anymore.
