All men are equal = courts should be impartial

Not

All men are clones

Or all men have the same capabilities

Or all men are born with the same potential

But instead all men are politically equal

All men have basically the same rights & obligations (if any)

All men are born with the same moral worth (to be enhanced or denigrated by the individual's own conduct)

So when a dispute comes before a judge, that judge should consider the conduct of the individuals involved, not their identity categories
