Products nowadays are built to fail. Water heaters, fridges, ACs, consumer products like a heating pad, toaster etc. All designed to fail within predetermined time frame so your repurchase can stimulate economic growth. Who wants a boring lasting washing machine when you can get the “new” features every couple of years? I do antique products hunting in my spare time, even a 10 yrs old (well maintained) BBQ beats the quality of today’s high end ones. What can fix this?
