I can’t speak for anyone but myself but when you purchase a commission piece from me, I send you updates every few days of how your piece is progressing as proof of work.
That way, the customer is more involved in the whole creative process, from sketch to finished piece.
Yea, it just depends on what the individual person wants and values. As an artist myself I think there is way more value in making a connection to the artist and being involved. But from someone who just wants a pretty picture for their wallpaper or profile picture than the goal and value is different.
It's a mistake to assume everyone wants the same thing.
Can confirm. Customer experience is top tier. It's nice to feel involved and to be able to offer/take suggestions.
