Throughout my training, My Sensei and Executive Protection (EP) instructor put great emphasis on the importance of situational awareness. It's not just for the battlefield or physical safety.

Don't just focus on what you're doing. Pay attention to the details of what's going on around you.

Don't get blindsided. Read the room. Plan ahead. Stay alert. Be present. Be mindful.

In all you do, practice situational awareness.
