A little later than planned. 11:45pm. But camp is set up. The rain that fell earlier is now frozen on my truck, but inside my tent, it’s beautiful. You just can’t beat a 20lb propane tank and a Mr. Heater with good ventilation and a CO monitor for safety. With the heater out in the tiny vestibule of this expedition tent, the 3” gap between the fly and the outer wall of the tent creates a perfect envelope of warm air that will even melt a ring of snow around the tent a month from now. In the last pic you can see Ursa Major and at the very top of the image, Polaris, the North Star.
