I'm no fan of governments, but I have to give a shout-out when they take down scammers. Another day, another social media grifter gets called out for dumping unregistered securities on their audience

Keep it up!

Call me a statist, call me a bootlicker, I don't care! I like to see scammers get whats coming to them

If the state stop scammers, how will the fools learn and improve their behaviour? Why letting people get rekt from their mistakes and learn is bad? This way the state is really promoting more scammers, as more and more people will relax about it "because the state protect us" LOL

Do elderly people who used to be sharp but are now experiencing cognitive decline deserve to be scammed? What about those with learning disabilities who can just about function but struggle in others, making them an "easy target"?

I'm not a fan of going full "nanny state" but not everyone can be hyper vigilant in all areas of their lives and it's not always their fault.

I never said someone deserves to be scammed, it all started because I said scammers should not go to jail. Of course there can exists other mechanisms to avoid scam, but the jail is not one of them, on the contrary it estimulates more scams.

Totally agree.

It's a similar situation when over here the EU bureaucrats burn another monopolist on their pyre.

This always feels warm somehow. ;-)

I have mixed opinion on that.
