Didnt want to pay a $30 credit card tx fee to pay my property taxes, so I spent $5 mailing certified a check one week ahead of the deadline.

USPS took TWO WEEKS to deliver a letter envelope in town. No problem - the law says any payment postmarked ahead of the deadline is not to be considered delinquent.

County trustee ignores the law, claims I owe $11 delinquent fee that will grow 18% monthly until paid. I have the receipts, just have to take off work to either go downtown or go to court to get dismissed.

Let it roll off your back like water off a duck. They want you to go into their office screaming so they can throw you in jail and complicate your life even more. It is BS but let it end here. You're a bitcoiner. Your life is on the upswing. 🤙

The frustrating thing is the cost of everyone involved's time. The time involved costs multiples of the tax being paid. Its extortion, either by credit cards or by govt.

If they accepted #Bitcoin theyd have near instant settlement for $2 tx fee that wouldve since appreciated over 30%.
