Wait... isn't tether supposed to be pegged 1 to 1? How'd it lose 3%?

The backing of USDT began with quality assets and deteriorated over time; now it is mainly public debt. It sounds a lot like the subprime crisis.

Perhaps Tether Limited Inc is struggling to keep its price stable.

I forgot to mention that this year the dollar has had an inflation rate of 3%. It is not a good idea to save in fiat currency, or in “stable coins” that reflect fiat currencies.
