Users who are muted more than followed are automatically hidden from feeds and replies. You can disable the feature in settings if you want.

Mutes / follows by 1st degree (users followed by you) are checked first. If there are none, then 2nd degree and so on.

This seems like a good attack vector if it's possible to create block/mute bots.

It only counts mutes from your social network, and prioritizes mutes & follows from users who are closer to you.

Maybe I’m weird, but I don’t think the concept makes sense in a twitter style app. The people I follow are not my facebook-friends. I follow people to get a wide variety of opinions or news. Not because they like and dislike like I would.
