Can someone explain or Steelcase this for me? Why would we have to pay a fee for the privilege of no longer paying uncle Sam money? Did out taxes not already meet the supposed obligations for any services we use?
Shouldn't we be able to walk into a consular/embassy and drop off the passport and proclaim pur own independence? I'm only mentioning the process, not whether or not someone should renounce citizenship.
