Just a thought on the spy balloon:

If the US is capable of blocking/manipulating/destroying the data collected by it, why not let it float?

We literally have starlink. (Elon contracts heavily with the pentagon). I refuse to believe this is a real concern & may actually show China’s limitations more than our own cowardice.
