Floppy discs were around long before the C64 even existed (they had one for the VIC-20 before it, for example... same drive that later was recolored to match the C64) but I know you meant before it became more common. If the keyboard was huge, are you sure it wasn't a Commodore 128?
Im not very familiar with tech but im pretty sure it was the 64. We didn’t have alot of money so which ever was cheaper was probably the one I had. I do remember very well I had an Atari 2600 lol. No joke
