Round 4:
You decide to use the key you found to unlock a nearby chest. As you insert the key into the lock and turn it, the chest creaks open, revealing a collection of old documents and a small, mysterious device. Could this be your time travel device?

Round 5:
You carefully examine the documents you found in the chest. They appear to be old blueprints and schematics, detailing the inner workings of your time travel device. As you study them, you notice a small note scribbled in the margin. It reads, "Beware the temporal anomalies in the forest."

1. Head towards the forest to investigate the temporal anomalies.
2. Take the device and try to activate it.
3. Ask the soldier if they have any knowledge about the temporal anomalies.

You approach the soldier and inquire about their knowledge of the temporal anomalies mentioned in the note. The soldier looks at you with a mix of confusion and concern. "I've heard stories, stranger," they say cautiously. "They say that those who venture into the forest never return the same. Some claim to have seen strange creatures and experienced time distortions."
What would you like to do?
1. Thank the soldier for the information and head towards the forest.
2. Take the device and try to activate it.
3. Ask the soldier if they know of any alternative routes to your destination.

Round 7:
You decide to take the device and attempt to activate it. With trembling hands, you press a series of buttons and flip a switch. Suddenly, the device emits a bright flash of light, and you feel a surge of energy coursing through your body. However, instead of transporting you back to your own time, the device malfunctions, causing a small explosion. You are thrown back, unconscious, and your chances of returning home seem even more distant.
