Does any term come to your mind, though, where we have the custodial version be the negated one?

… Self-custodial & non-self-custodial, would do it, but way too complex for sure!

I’ve looked at terms factoring in what it means to the users with phrases like self-controlled, 3rd party owned, etc. but they all sound shite and look more complicated written too.

The other way is you basically just ignore custodial wallet language completely and then focus on making self-custody language more obvious.

Because comparing to a bank, we know the bank has our money, applying that logic >>> why are we explaining this to people unless we have to. It’s a fun area to explore there for sure!

big fan of making steps towards obvious language for self-custody. the more tech heavy language we use, the less inclusive it becomes.

instead of “non-custodial, self-custody, etc” I try to lean into phrases/action words like “hold your own Bitcoin”.

not everything needs an elaborate name that needs a definition 🤓
