i hate it because of the rabid #monero fanatics who are here on #nostr who seriously don't understand that pseudonymity is enough and you can't have #lightning on a monero style ledger, because of its "security"

lightning moves way more value already than #monero, hell, the number of open channels exceeds its market cap

and with a little more energy devoted to this task, #lightningnetwork could be more private than monero ever could be

I am not so sure about that. I would not save in monero, but use it, when it fits. I mean, really, I use fiat if it fits. Old school Cash is not that bad, just don't save in cash. Same with monero.

At least monero has a real use case compared to the plethora of shitcoins out there.

But I am really libertarian on this - even NFTs may have some use cases, like for example money laundering 😎
