Watched Biutiful (2010), a drama directed by Alejandro González Iñárritu. In Barcelona’s ghetto, a dying father is having difficulty supporting his children by doing black market deals with immigrant labour. As his death approaches, he deals with guilt and the need to secure a future for his children. This movie is very gritty, has themes of supernatural, mortality and moral compass. I enjoyed this one less. 3rd downer movie in a row from this director. Even though the first two were excellent, it’s heavy subject matter after the other. This one’s execution wasn’t as good as the two classics. The score wasn’t very memorable. The plot was a bit weak. The acting was good as well as the family dynamic. 6/10 #nodereviews
