I mean, you could achieve that with amethyst and a muted words list.

I do think the 'default' nostr experience leans heavily into bitcoin, and probably more importantly heavily right-leaning and slightly conspiratorial.

But I don't think this is the reason anyway.

Compared to Twitter seems pretty centrist from my perspective, but we are so polarized these days everything looks extreme depending where you stand I suppose

I've found a pretty good balance of people. I like to keep a few on either extremes to keep me well informed. As for the bitcoin-centric-ness of the app... I mean.. that might be like this for a while.
