Well, it wouldn't be quite "back to where we are today" because you will have the choice to be *directly* involved if you wanted to. Today we can't, it's delegated or nothing and that is what creates most of the misalignment of incentives.

But of course there will be other issues. Apathy is one of those.

Before moving to a stand alone house I was living in an apartment.. and in that apartment everyone needed to come together from time to time to decide on most of the things and vote

Almost no one wanted to be involved.. most people either don’t have time or don’t really care about optimizing every single aspect

Imagine if that simple thing of meeting in the lobby caused apathy, imagine now pushing all of us to have to deal with smart contracts “and” pay for contract fees for each decision

So what I’m saying is:

I love the fact that DAOs exist and I think they add enormous value to certain projects where before you had no chance .. but that doesn’t mean you can transform every single decision in everybody’s life into a smart contract vote because most people don’t care
