I might have to just appreciate that it's not coming back.
... cause I woke up to this ... F**K ... easily 6+ months of experiments & music ... it might be gone.
Today ... gonna go touch grass. those ideas I was working on ... maybe slivers of them are still on Git. Otherwise ... I'm just gonna build again.
Take an image snapshot of the drive in whatever state it is in now. Don't make any other attempts of recovery on the drive itself. There might still be some avenues to try before giving up but all recovery attempts should be made on the image/snapshot.
Disk Utility can help you with the image part. Let me know if you need help.
