I’ve been toying with the idea of attending Memefactory’s Bitcoin Halving party since last year. I love conferences and think the idea of a party for the halving is awesome. Problem is I’m not sure how I feel about the party’s logistics…

The event is an expense in its own right. Then, there is the all-inclusive resort stay… which is beautiful and gorgeous but there’s no lobby con so there’s no way to access the party without a ticket + the resort stay.

It’s a halving party which means the supply of bitcoin is actually decreasing… so spending fiat on anything other than necessities and stacking more corn feels like a waste… and sense it’s hosted by memers (whom I love ofc) I feel like going is actually me memeing myself??? Which doesn’t really sit right with me?? I’m not sure … I just want to be wise and a good steward.

Idk… what’re you thinking? Are you going? Do you want to? What plans do you have to celebrate such a monumental moment in Bitcoin history??

Not sure where you live but I hope to attend a Bitcoin Conference in Nashville during 2025, which ought to be both a fun party and educational!

I live in El Salvador. I’m not sure which conferences I’ll be attending stateside this year. I’m pretty sure nostr:npub17yqgpat6e6ensd78jqhj4c3ef03uq04uqu3z05rhjnlk67lwm8wq9w5269 will be one of them.

Try to get a sponsor to pay for (a part) of your ticket, and wear their logo on a t-shirt or something. That is a nice way to visit a conference or party without going broke.

Wait… that’s a thing?
