🌍 My Story as a White Afrikaner in South Africa – Seeking Support to Reach Safety in America ⚡
I'm a qualified civil engineer from South Africa. I started my career at Petzetakis Africa, supplying uPVC and HDPE piping for civil projects. But the ANC's BEE (Black Economic Empowerment) policies forced companies to be at least 50% black-owned to tender for work. As an international firm owned in Greece, they refused to displace qualified white staff and shut down operations, leaving me and many others jobless. No other companies could hire white engineers without violating BEE.
Around then, tragedy struck: my youngest daughter was killed in a vehicle hijacking. (Attached: her photo – she was my light.) I had to support my surviving eldest daughter, so I started a swimming pool construction company and supply shop. It was tough – as a white business owner, I couldn't access grants or loans. But we made it work.
Things escalated when I fired a black employee caught stealing on camera. He involved the EFF party, known for anti-white rhetoric like "kill the farmer." They threatened to sabotage my business unless I rehired him or paid a year's wages. Police said no crime had occurred, so I paid up.
Then COVID-19 hit. Lockdowns shut us down for months. Government relief grants went only to black-owned businesses – mine didn't qualify. I scraped together partial wages for staff, but they burned down my shop, storerooms, and home in retaliation.
Now, with white Afrikaners facing persecution, farm murders, and discrimination, former President Trump's 2018 call to fast-track refugee resettlement for us felt like a lifeline. But with so many applicants, the process is slow. My eldest daughter and I (attached: us at her graduation) are waiting to escape this constant fear.
If my story resonates, please zap me any amount to help us bridge the gap – food, legal fees, survival until we reach the US. Every sat counts! ⚡ Zap me at: [your Lightning address or LNURL here]
