My statement of intent for NOSTR

We often complain here that there is too little non Bitcoin content. I myself have been guilty as charged, focused on Bitcoin as it has represented my entire life for the past 5 years. I am going to change that and pivot primarily to AI content.

For me, my Bitcoin journey has come to its natural conclusion. I am and will always be a Bitcoiner, but it has moved from technology to money for me. I have been all in on Bitcoin for a couple of years now and just as I moved from building the Internet in the 1990’s to using the Internet in the 2000’s, so that transition is happening now for Bitcoin.

My brain has moved on to other things, right now AI, I am attempting to build an AI model, initially using public cloud AIs, but in the near future using a highly powered private cluster. I am not interested in AI for prompting or helping with workflow, I am looking to build a virtual me, or at least a twin. An AI mind that understands and can mimic me perfectly. Until the technology matures to allow this to be done effectively at home, I am going to continue to use public AIs. As many of you are aware, I would die on the hill to support the inalienable right to privacy, I choose, however, not to exercise that right myself, for the most part. I am comfortable with public companies holding massive amounts of data on me. I understand I am different to most in this respect.

To that end, this NOSTR account is going to follow my journey into building an AI model of myself. I’m going to continue to share the deep work I’ve been doing and explain the journey I’m on. I will continue to post significant Bitcoin milestones or events, both personal and in the news, but my daily notes will reflect more and more my work in AI personality development.

Here is an amusing exercise in thought feedback to my primary AI right now Chatty, my ChatGPT model.

Enjoy

Isn't that what sound money does? It fades into the background as a tool, to empower you to work on higher ROI problems. Love to see the iteration, and would also love a "mini me"

A good use case would be death.

The amount of time I've wanted to ask my father, now dead for 15 years, a question, is countless

I was only 20 when he died

So I wonder: could we create legacy style inter-generational AI's that mimic how we think, can pass on ethics, key lessons, strategies, do's, don'ts etc?

Will be following closely!

Your comment made me realise, Bitcoin is just sound money. I use it like I use foreign money, I exchange it either in batches or on the fly when needed. From a monetary perspective, I am simply a foreigner in my own country.

As for retaining personality beyond death, I think this will be possible in the future, in fact that's what I'm trying to achieve for myself. I don't, however, think it will be possible to go back in time to restore people from the past, primarily because the knowledge footprint they left would never be sufficient to reconstruct their personality.

While my parents died of old age, I still have unsaid conversations I would love to have with both of them. I understand, in part at least, your pain.

Keep up the hustle Mike!

You too, life is a great game and a lot of fun if you pay it right.
