I'm not sure what's more annoying, people that insist Bitcoin sucks unless we have privacy or people that insist Bitcoin sucks unless everyone is buying selling constantly with it.

if you try to send sats via on-chain the privacy is indeed a concern.

privacy at protocol layer should have been done. i know there's coinjoin

One benefit of a pseudonymous base is auditability, you don't want a hidden inflation bug because of full anonymity. Pls no moon math in the base layer.

I'm not an expert. are auditability and privacy are two sides of a coin?
