Currently discussing Putin’s 2007 speech at the Munich Security Conference with ChatGPT 4. Talking through the events that followed it and the responses from the various participants and looking at maps of the 2008 conflict in Georgia.

It’s a little startling to look a this map because I’ve spent quite a bit of time flying missions over that terrain in DCS in VR in both fixed and rotor wing aircraft.

I wish the state of the art for combat flight simulation was closer to the state of the art for civilian flight simulation. Having the memory of flying VR missions over an area brings a really interesting perspective when reading about real world events there.
