This is absolutely correct. A lot of people on the right, libertarians and the like, of whom I consider myself one, are not understanding that there probably will be a need to create some sort of extra tax for very wealthy people for some sort of UBI.

In fact what I think will happen (and in fact is already happening) is, faced with the alternative, a lot of millionaires and billionaires will gladly choose UBI as the solution to maintain their position, and they'll happily contribute to it for some peace.

Things are going to get wild. We're heading for revolutionary times. Ignoring this is ignoring reality. Things are going to get wild.
