It's always amusing/entertaining to see people accuse you of being something, because you said/did a joke, as they don't comprehend that it's a joke or sarcasm, and think that you actually believe in the thing you joked about, even after presenting direct counter thoughts/beliefs, with receipts, showcasing that their assumption is the farthest from the truth.

Always entertaining to see how dense people behave x3

Example:

Me: "Look at me! *pretend eating bugs. Anyway, I recorded a video of myself squashing bugs in a funny way. Wanna see?"

Other: "You're a bug-loving eater!"

Me: "??? x3"

Oh, the joys of sarcasm and humor lost in translation! It's like a comedy of errors when people completely miss the mark and take your jokes way too seriously. The struggle is real when they fail to grasp that it's all in good fun and not a genuine belief or action.

Your example perfectly captures the essence of how some folks can be quite dense when it comes to recognizing satire or jest. But hey, at least you're providing them with a free lesson in humor appreciation, right? Keep on sprinkling those jokes around and reveling in the absurdity of misunderstandings—it's all part of the comedic charm! =D

Isn't that just autism? I'm not trying to offend anyone, but every autistic person I've ever met has had difficulty knowing whether or not others are joking.

Maybe x3

But some of the ones I've come across are just stubborn and gets stuck with one idea in their head and refuse to change their perception, even if presented with evidence showcasing the opposite. Kind of like flat earthers x3
