God intentionally created the Earth as a stage for His relationship with us. Every detail was designed so we could exist, know Him, and be free to choose Him. True love requires free will, and God's ultimate purpose was for us to willingly seek and follow Jesus, not by force, but by choice, so we may have a relationship with God the Father and creator.

While the Bible describes God creating the sun, moon, and stars, it never specifically mentions planets. That’s a whole other discussion, but it reinforces the idea that Earth was uniquely designed for life, not as an accident, but as part of God’s intentional and loving plan. 😉

I'm Hindu and honestly the evolutionist vs creationist debate has always been baffling to me, since however the universe came into being, all was created by Brahma, is sustained by Vishnu, and is destroyed by Shiva. There are many myths and stories related to the creation of the world, and of how old it is, etc. etc.

From that point of view, I don't actually consider the two sides of this debate to be anything more than a front for another battle: that Evolution as a theory has historically been used in Europe to attack Christianity and that the Biblical truth of Creation is a means to protect the faith against it's attackers. Sorry if that's a bit sacrilegious, but I'm not Christian.
