Do you think Americans even want democracy anymore?
I feel like most I talk to don’t care for it

Everyone’s brain is fried due to the relentless algorithm. We’re conditioned to not care and told what to believe. People don’t want to discuss ideas anymore. The control system is designed that way.
Not for a long time, decades
Of course there would also be people arguing against democracy but I get your point… nihilism is rampant, especially in gen Z.
Feels like nobody cares as long as they can eat and hope to retire one day. Most have given up on having children, lots on owning a home. Few still even consider freedom a worthwhile endeavor.
No. Most want free bread and circus. Most are dumb sheep.
A minority of Americans understand democracy becomes tyranny of the dumb sheep’s decisions. They probably want the idealistic constitutional republic to return that has slipped away.
People in the cities just want safety and money. In the country they want freedom to work for their family. Most of the power hates people in the country. If you listen to the UN everybody should live in a city alone with no children and no pets.
everyone wants a voice until they lose in a fair election 乁( •_• )ㄏ
More of a problem for the left than the right. The Right is, deep down, fundamentally comfortable with the idea of "Strong Man" rule. The Left, on the other hand, experiences cognitive dissonance when unfettered Democracy leads straight to Donald Trump being elected (twice!).
Maybe not the type of democracy that only has 2 shit choices?
They take it for granted, they don't realise what it's to not having it, so they don't value it properly.
They'll miss it when they lose it though.
