embedded rust, yes or no?

Rust seems very interesting and I'm starting to learn it. but, as a life long embedded mostly c engineer, rust is a big change. I need better tools maybe. I can't see whats going on in the chip. I get a hard fault inside this HAL crate. debugger is lost during the hard fault. I'm going to end up writing all the driver code myself I think.
