Wasted several hours writing a script to grab data from X's API, paid $200 for a non-hobbled account, only to find that querying data older than 2012 is restricted to approved academic researchers.
Fucking ridiculous given that I can search for the same data via the web client.
Doesn’t the library of congress have all the tweets stored? Do they have an api?
