Nayib Bukele says that public must be better than private and that prices must be controlled.

RIP.

In most countries where health care is public and universal as in Spain, the rich go to private health care.

Why? because public health care sucks.

And the high cost of public health care for the poor, because it is paid for through taxes, prevents them from going to private health care.

In Spain they have tried to control the price of rents, what has happened? rents have gone up even more, because controlling prices discourages many property owners from renting, causing even more a shortage of supply.

I thought this man was more intelligent.

Public will never be better than private, public will never reach the virtuosity of private, because public has no incentives, and people are driven by incentives.

Public never achieves excellence.

Governments spend millions in R&D and it is never good for shit, R&D always comes from private enterprise.

The only thing governments are good at is spying on people, that's what they are good at, because it is their incentive, they need to know everything about people to plunder them to the last cent.

Politicians will be politicking

not just Spain - every G60 country does some form of control in name of PROTECTING PEOPLE - subsidy / handout / surcharge on foreign goods ...

or else they cannot MANIFEST their political authority

Gov can run free so someone has pay tax somehow howmuch is main thing

cannot be

Yes. Price controls generally lead to less of what you’re trying to control.. Bukele will know this. Seems a bad message and, considering his overwhelming majority, you’d think he wouldn’t need to pander with these simplistic suggestions.

A lack of od your country's responsibility to audit and improve public health doesn't mean public health sucks, it suggests there's a force intentionally eroding it. We have this issue in Canada too, but I still support public health care, I don't want a world where you have be wealthy to live healthy.

Education and Healthcare for all I believe in, contrary to to libertarian principles which are more prevalent here.
