If you mention bitcoin to normies they immediately start telling you everything they know about crypto. What they bought, how it will all be worth millions, how much they made so far…

And you realize…they didn’t look into one thing about any of it, someone on tv said something and it made them buy. 🤯

Someone on TV or a golfing buddy or their idiot kid or their unsuccessful uncle on a family group text. These are the things I’m hearing right now and I don’t have the time educate the entire world. If it’s someone I really care about, I just ask some questions like I’m really curious and try to expose to them they have no idea what they bought.

A friend opens their phone in front of me and I see the meta mask app and I’m like WTF are you doing? I at least know what that is, now I know you’re buying shitcoins, where do you get these ideas???

I ask questions too. What made you buy that? What do you think will happen? It’s like when I used to work with addicts who wanted to get sober…

My other favorite is trying to split a bill or something and people all like, “we can do venmo or zelle.” And my response is I don’t use those, here’s some cash or let’s do Cashapp.

The divide between us and normie financial product consumption is WIDE

EXCELLENT REPROGRAMMING example #fren HUGS 🫂

Freaking cashapp is not available in some parts of the world :(

Well, Sutton bank isn’t letting me pay for some things here in the US suddenly… like bills I paid last month and it worked fine.

So f#$& banks, let’s just have lightning wallets

Bitcoin only

Everything else will fail

Eventually

We all have to start our journey somewhere. It’s not uncommon for newcomers to dabble with other coins. I did too at the beginning.

Of course, I now know better!!
