Glad you got your dog back! It’s so scary when they run. My little house cats don’t get out. Last time my girl tried to make a run, I yelled at her and she ran back in 🤣

Sometimes my dog just wants to go outside without a leash, but we're very close to a busy street, and yelling or a finger snap generally works too!
