Everyday the desire to move somewhere more rural intensifies. More gardening, more chickens, more touching grass, less reliance on the state for permission to simply exist.

I lived in nyc for 25 yrs.

I now live in a place where people leave their doors and bikes unocked.

I loved city life, but the low level tension required tears you down.
