I have to admit, I haven't really posted much of anything to FB or IG recently, and my habits have fallen off considerably since the pandemic. At this point it's been nerd centric places like Reddit and Twitter for me.
I suspect once you realize that you're not getting any more engagement and nobody cares, you stop feeding the beast to go elsewhere.
For men, especially past a certain age, social media is just how you keep track of the women in your life (friends & family with photos) or thirsting after hot women. It's less about sharing anything.
