The only plausible way to enable #bitcoin custody for 8 billion people is to build a #nostr smart phone ..
It is a hard task but is there an easier one ?

I don't think the solution would be hot storage -- or are you suggesting internal hardware that essentially stores an otherwise walled off cold storage wallet within the case of the phone itself, so that you don't need to plug in or connect via bluetooth?
I don't have a technical design in mind .. my point is most people have only one device .. this device is smartphone .. for example camera , music player , scanner - and so many other gadgets already merged into one ..
So instead of offering people more choices , might as well build one that has at its core a Bitcoin wallet ..
presumably one can use Bitcoin npub as a #nostr npub too .. add a private relay on top and you have a working plumbing for one device that carries your value and your influence..
And this device need not gain majority market share .. cuz if you could get say 10 % of users .. big players will be forced to accomplish feature parity .. that is just the way Apple and Samsung compete ..
