Ex-Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad has accused Soros of orchestrating the 1997 Asian Financial Crisis by triggering a currency collapse. Despite Malaysia's stringent laws on market manipulation, Soros was never prosecuted.

Another example: while hundreds of Trump’s allies have been prosecuted on election-related charges, Soros, who funded numerous campaigns and even supported prosecutors targeting the US president, has yet to face any charges.
