I see your point.. but in that case if the client is one that shows in feed (or in a selected one kike primal or Amethyst do) all comments, then a valuable one would be higlited and probably zapped or boosted - quoted, so it will reach somehow more people.

What you risk with not showing the actual "time-note-chain" is someone maliciously pumping comments with zap or fake user, or you would see more likely comment of well known people that have always more engagement and will be often on the top.. something like twitter blue check somehow.
